Tritium Leaks Scroll

August, 2013
Three 9x12 linoleum blocks hand-sewn together

Finished hand-sewing three of the Tritium Leaks prints together into a hanging scroll late last month.  This is the culmination of a long-term project that started in 2008.  It took me a long time to get down to southern Vermont to make a sketch of the VT Yankee power-plant and finally did in the spring of 2012.  Hours of carving linoleum and sewing paper paid off as this is on exhibit at the Mason Green gallery on the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont.

The most wonderful part of this story is that after years of protest, accidents and the State of Vermont trying to close the plant they finally decided to decommission the plant.  If you are in VT there is a reception from 7-8 pm on September 12th at VSC.
